Welcome to the Greenhive School
Greenhive School (Foundation stage known as Gingerbread House) started on the 20th of `January 2014 as a nursery school providing quality for the under 5s. However in 2018 , we started admitting children to our primary school which we intend to grow organically. Each Class teacher is supported by a teaching assistant and a support staff where necessary. All our classes are of mixed ability and there will be times when your child will be taught with their whole class, in smaller groups and also individually .
Child development
& education
We firmly believe that play is the foundation for children’s educational
journey. Every activity at Gingerbread House, whether exploring the
sandpit, engaging with playdough, or role-playing, is thoughtfully
designed with an educational focus and objective.
As children embark on their Early years journey, we gently introduce
them to the vibrant world of school life. Through a well-structured
daily timetable consisting of activities such as circle time and story
time, children grasp the concept of structure, rules, and expectations.
There is a balanced mix of phonics, numeracy, opportunities for free
play, as well as adult-led activities and child-initiated learning.
While each day brings something new and exciting, the joy of
imaginative learning remains constant for our children.
